Las entidades responsables del programa LIMPIEMOS LA CIUDAD realizan cursos de capacitación relacionados a todo el desarrollo del programa: concientización, recolección diferenciada, clasificación de materiales, industrialización, etc. Generando el vínculo entre los recicladotes y la comunidad, aportando el material de difusión necesario para el desarrollo del programa, así como también el asesoramiento y acompañamiento para la creación de microemprendimientos relacionados al programa de reciclado. Apoyando y avalando sus acciones ante los entes oficiales.
Anualmente es incalculable la cantidad que se produce y no se realizan importantes procesos para devolverlos a la cadena comercial, mayoritariamente se lo deposita en los predios de disposición final de residuos por miles de años, por ello una de las alternativas es reducir su utilización en envases mermando los espesores del envase y dándole una nueva vida mediante el RECICLADO MECANICO como propone la Fundación NATURALEZA VIVA a través del Programa LIMPIEMOS LA CIUDAD. Por ser el de mayor factibilidad con pocos recursos financieros y brindar la generación de trabajo con o sin relación de dependencia.
Aún los plásticos degradados o sucios con una fuente de ingresos por poseer energía calórica semejante al gas natural y al fuel-oil, de lo contrario irán a los vertederos donde afortunadamente al no descomponerse, no emite gases, ni produce líquidos contaminantes, con excepción del telgopor que se fabrica con benceno, un conocido cancerígeno, que se transforma en estireno y se le inyectan gases para hacerlo espumoso. Los gases más empleados son los CFC. El papel, utilizado desde el inicio de la imprenta también dejó su impronta en el medio ambiente: excesivo gasto de energía y agua, residuos tóxicos y tala indiscriminada de bosques. Afortunadamente la tendencia actual es el papel reciclado y la plantación específica para obtener celulosa. Con todo lo expuesto, demás esta decir que el compromiso debe asumirse con toda responsabilidad porque la resultante está a la vista o generamos menos basura o la basura terminará tapándonos.
